You can either book an exclusive Yala safari package for yourself or your group of up to six people, or reserve a slot to be part of a group of up to six people under the standard Yala safari package.

We offer a very transparent service inclusive of all costs, ensuring you can enjoy your safari without being surprised by unexpected charges.

Generally there are 2 people who will be involved in making your Yala National Park Safari experience a success, namely the Driver and the Tracker.

Whilst the driver is busy keeping an eye on the dirt tracks, your tracker, provided to us by the Department of Wildlife Conservation, will be trying his best to spot / track the animals and the birds for you.

Though certain trackers are good in their knowledge and language, please note that they are not wildlife guides.

If you need to book a professional wildlife guide / naturalist , it could be possible on availability at an extra fee.

Even if it's not guaranteed, we try our level best to have both (driver and tracker) in your jeep. However, there could be occasional situations where the Department of Wildlife Conservation is not able to give us a tracker. On such occasions, your driver will double up to do both roles. Please note that DWLC doesn't discount the entrance fees, even if they are not able to provide a Tracker.

Tips for your Safari Driver , Tracker & Guide

If you are happy with the services, we recommend you / your group give a minimum Rs.500/- each for the Tracker and the Driver. Generally if they are really good and get you what you want to see, Rs.1000/- for each is recommended. Please note this is entirely up to your discretion and what's quoted is from the entire jeep and not from each passenger. Example:if there are 5 safari guests including you, your personal tip for both will be only 200/-(500/- x 2 = 1000/-).

For the Guide a minimum of Rs 1000/- is recommended.
